CABINET is an architecture and design office based in Bucharest, operating since 2013 at the intersection of architecture, design, and landscape, with experience in sustainability and built heritage.
The Romanian architect Oana Gabriela Iacob founded Cabinet in 2013.
Embracing the responsibility of architecture's impact on society, she has been a board member of the National Board granting the right to practice of the Romanian Order of Architects since 2022.
As a local promoter of good practice, she served as vice-president of the O.A.R. branch in Prahova county from 2022 to 2026, responsible for strategy, communication, partnerships, and institutional branding.
Being aware of the impact of the built environment, she was national organizing contact for Romania for HouseEurope! — a European citizens initiative to make renovation and transformation easier, more affordable and social.
She is a member of the Sustainability Working Group of ACE – Architects' Council of Europe.
She is the founder of “cu a mic” NGO – who discusses architecture as public good.
In the past she founded Republic of Architects.
