Value of renovation, HouseEurope! @ nZEB Expo 2025

On June 13th 2025, architect Oana Iacob was present at nZEB 2025 conference, where, together with architect Olaf Grawert, delivered a presentation on the concept of The Value of Renovation and the European initiative houseeurope.

During the presentation, three representative projects were highlighted, illustrating approaches to renovating and reusing existing buildings:

• CARP Alexandria – the conversion of a heritage building into an active community center

• Casa on Speranței Street – a discreet and careful intervention in a historic neighborhood

• Bucharest Business Park – an example of rethinking office space without major demolitions or radical changes

Olaf Grawert presented the HouseEurope! a European citizens initiative, promoting for renovation of the existing building stock as a genuine priority in Europe, through sustainable public policies and long-term financing solutions.
